Welcome to Ritzykatz. I have a small cattery
located in central Texas breeding birmans
exclusively. All kittens are born and raised in my
home; the adult cats have their own building.
Birmans have social skills in abundance... just
about any warm body will do. They love to be in
the the middle of any activity in the home.
Birmans have to be near their owners. They
follow from room to room. They don't like be
separated from their owners. A closed door is an
insult they don't take lightly. Many make nice
bed kitties and seldom sleep alone. Most do well
with children. The birman has a very forgiving
nature. It is not known for being very smart, but
they manage to manipulate all around them. Other
pets soon learn the new cat is taking over their
priveleged position. The usual birman is not
talkative but some can learn to respond. Their
silky long coat takes only a little combing and an
occassional bath. Kittens can be adopted at 12
weeks old. The older kittens are more confidant
and easily adapt to new homes. Most will have
had at least two rounds of vaccinations before
leaving. All will be litter trained and eating well.
Kitten are sold with a contract.
